We get this question a lot:
“Are your ferments okay shipping them in the extreme heat? Or the freezing cold?”
Short answer: Yep. Totally. 100%.

Our krauts and tonics are fermented the old-fashioned way, at room temp, which helps all those gut-loving probiotics come to life. We jar them up when the time is right and the probiotics are plentiful. Then we tuck them into a cool warehouse until it’s time to head your way.

Shipping can take anywhere from 1 to 10 business days, and yes, your jar might face a wild road trip – blazing heat, freezing cold, maybe even a bumpy ride in the back of a delivery truck. No worries. These cultures are tough and we send them with plentiful padding and insulation. The quality and quantity of the live-culture probiotics will not be affected.

Once your products arrive safely at your door, we recommend placing them in the fridge to maintain the optimal flavor and texture. No fridge space? A cool, dark cabinet works just fine for up to 3 months (as long as it stays unopened). Once opened, it’s fridge time.
